[Appearance] Have Something to Say But Not Sure You’re Qualified?

[Appearance] Have Something to Say But Not Sure You’re Qualified?

June 12, 2018 Posted by Jeremy W. Richter Practice Management

When I started this blog in June of 2016, I did so without too much trepidation. I was essentially briefing cases and writing about my practice in ways that I was pretty comfortable with. But then I wanted to branch out. Slowly, I started to have ideas about other things I would like to write about. And that’s where things started to feel dicey. I wasn’t sure I was qualified to write about these other things.

It turns out other lawyers have the same misgivings. You can read my thoughts and a conversation I had with another lawyer about writing publicly on topics that he felt others would find him not properly credentialed for on the ABA Journal‘s “Your Voice” feature: “Gaining the Confidence to Write What You Have to Say“
